D16Z6 in OBD-0 crx drop in?
I have heard that you can run it without vtec with no problems. I was concerned about that too...I have heard it is a little complicated and was worried that if I could not figure it out right away or have time to finish it, could I drive without it while not damaging the engine....most people have told me it is no problem...

I built one, Y8 block, ZC internals, Z6 crank, Z6 head, Y8 intake manifold, and man, this bad boy just sounds mean when it starts up, i have a bad bog, and it cuts out at 2500 rpm which i think something is wrong with teh dsm injectors so im gonna get a set of stock ones and put them back in.
its as simple as removing the old motor bolting up the new one and rigging some sorta 12v trigger for vtec.
ps without vtec its a stock si motor basically. why bother install it and it will pass regaurdless.

You won't pass smog here in California with a Z6 unless you have a full P28 conversion. These days, they are ALOT stricter about such things as running the right ECU for the motor. So you won't get away with running a D16Z6 in California without also running the proper P28 ECU.
