I wanted to know if anyone has a carbon fiber lip on their teg. If so, do you have any pics? I put it in Appearance, but got nothing. Also, does anyone know the quality of the VIS lip? Thanks.

 

i was going to get a cf lip also but i heard that they chip and crack very easy so i just decided to stay with the type r lip and paint it black.

 

I just got my vis for my 96 today.
quallity looks awsome fitment is awsome but i still wave to screw it on.
I'll have pics soon.

If you are lowered any more than an inch you are going to scrape it everywhere.

I had mine on for awhlie, cracked it at several autoX's, scraped it everywhere, now its off.

Thats with a 1.3" drop

 

Gee, 1.3 is not a whole lot of drop too. yeah, i'd take it off if it were scraping lots too.

Besides, that lip makes your front end look really long.

94-97 lip sucks, the 98 up gives you way more clearance, does anyone have pics of the 98 up?

I've been curious to see any lip at all on a 98+. All kinds, ww, type r, mugen, etc. I was curious how they look since the 98+'s have a different front clip.

 

actually I really like the 97 ITR lip for 9-97 bumpers, it looks like it is slightly lower then the stock lip, but it gives the car a nice mean look

Holy ****. That lip is nice. I thought carbon fiber was really strong. They use it on airplanes and stuff. So why wouldn't it hold up on the road?

 

they should hold up... if you buy ones made with good quality cf. the 98+ cf lip is pretty sweet.

that would look about 100000000x better if it were painted.

The lip that StyleTeg had, every person I know with that style lip has smashed it on something and had it break into several pieces.

it's for someone to start a group buy on the 98+ carbon fiber ITR lip.

the nicer fitting lips are made by CWings and the only distributer I know is GTP International aka ImportFan.com

the price is $300 on the site but I'm hoping a group buy can knock that price down. now let's find somone in CA to take care of us.

If its reenforced correctly it can be really strong, but the CF lips are thin and very brittle. Which is why a cone in the center causes them to crack instead of bend like ABS plastic.
