Not much luck with my search(lots of good generic info, now I need specific info!)
I'm using a 1990 B18A1 in my 1991 STD Hatchback. I have Place Racing engine mounts. The engine is going to run a street-ported head, mild cams(Crane #12s), and 11:1 compression.

Its my daily driver, will autocross a couple times a year. I'm more interested in a broad powerband, then top end power. Redline = 7000 rpm.

I plan on a custom exhaust, mandrel bent 2.25" tubing, no cat, magnaflow resonator and muffler.

so, wondering if anyone can suggest which header I should use, that will fit the Hybrid setup. 4-2-1 or 4-1? Brands? Model + year(For example, looking at some GReddy headers, they had one for 90-91 LS, one for 92-93 LS,one for 94+ LS...which to use?)

depends on how low your car is mostly, if you get a 4-1 it will get pretty dinged up and end up being worse than a stock manifold. i would suggest a 4-2-1 DC,

 

Any idea what year and model I should get it for? They have several different ones for different years 'tegs, to clear different crossmembers..

 

for your application with higher than normal cr and a more aggressive cam you should invest in a REALLY good flowing header like Erickracing, AN-R, Hytech, SMSP or toda Jun. You'll seriousely see some great gains!

if it you want a milder header I would pick JDM ITR 4-1 header over DC, greddy or Apexi. thats just me though. HTH
