The accumulator in my system has been leaking brake fluid for several months now. I can keep refilling the abs system, but I finally decided to just replace the accumulator. A couple hundred dollars later I have one in hand, but I look in my Helms manual, and in the "modulator unit disposal" section it says in bold letters "do not remove the accumulator from the modulator" (among other things).

So anyway, there are no instructions in Helms for replacing the accumulator. Has anyone done this before? What's the process like? Do you have to remove the entire modulator unit to do it?
