Default check engine light?

hey my girlfriends 99 ex 4 cylinder check engine light just came on and i was wondering where is the piece i put the paper clip in to read her code is it on the passenger side where my 2000 si's is? thanks a lot

I don't think the 6-gen Accords have that connector. You gotta know which pins to jumper in the OBD-II connector under the driver's side. Someone put up a photo of the jumper here not too long age. You can fry stuff if you catch the wrong pins, because you can send +12v to several unprotected pins in the ECM.

AutoZoned will plug in a reader for free. Get them to tell you the code (Pnnnn), not just their guess for what's wrong.
