Cutting a perfect light is .5 seconds. Thats the exact moment the green light hits.
It doesnt factor into ET's, because it doesnt have anything to do with how fast your car gets down a 1/4 mile strip. The ET is the time it takes from point A to point B...point A being when your car begins its motion to move forward. The RT just tells you how long it took for your brain to tell your feet to react to get the car in motion.

actually to get a .5, youd have to hit the beam before the light was lit up. the timer starts ticken when electricity is sent to the bulb, but it takes a split second for the bulb to light up. whoops, sorry about the useless rant!
