Default Spark plug torque

Just wondering if there was a torque spec for installing the spark plugs(00 ITR). I dont have an ITR helms handy.

I tried a quicky search on the ITR forum and it didn't come up with much, I guess I will give the general teg forum a whack.

more likely, if to tight, it could strip out the spark plug hole in the head.

also, if not tight enough, you stand the chance of it loosening up.

properly torquing the spark plugs is a very important aspect which many neglect.

I agree. My brother didnt tighten his up enough and they loosened up on him. Car ran like **** and he asked me to come over...I opened his hood and could tell one of the plugs had loosened b/c his wire was up about a half inch.

It is about hand tight; if the plugs have been torqued down before (such as if your checking the plug condition)

But, if the plugs are new; you will need to crush the washer which will be more than hand tight.
