Default Recaro SRD's vs Sparco Torino's: Round one

I found both seats for about the same price and was wondering from anyone who owns, or deals with them. Which is the better seat? I have seen them both in real life and the Recaro looks like a much bigger seat. I know the JDM recaro's are nicer than both, but they are at least 500$ more.

Any love or hate you can let me in on? Thanks fellas.

you will probably find that the Recaros are more comfortable than the Torinos. I think they the same. But i guess that all depends on your size. I personally like both but for the same price id get the Recaros.

the SRD's appear to have a ton more lateral support for your hips/thighs. that's one reason i bought them over the torinos . . . all a matter of priority, i guess. i also like the cleaner look of the SRD.

I have a Torino, and prefer it to the SRD's I've sat in. Just fits me better. I think it's going to be a matter of personal preference.

What is the fabric like on both? Is it anything comparable to the cloth on the USDM? (not the alcaine stuff but the cloth in the center)

Is the fabric on either prone to fuzzyness/balliness?

Which looks and feels like it can take some wear and tear?

With which rails can a lower ride height be attained?

Alot of questions because I'm in the market for either of those two.

-Thanks!

i can only speak from experience with the SRD . . . i've had it for about 2 months now, and while some people claim that it does get fuzzy, mine is still perfect, even in high-wear spots. mine are black cloth.

vision makes two different rails for the DC2 chassis, one will dump it 1", the other about 1.5". mine -1.5" rails should be here by this weekend. currently i'm using the JDM OE rails, which sit the seat at the same height as the stock seat, but it seems a bit higher due to the aggressive bolsters.

hth.

I like the SRD's but that is me, it's your choice.

I've sat in both and decided to buy the SRDs about a yr ago. I have no regrets and the material shows no wear so far.

it depends on your size; i'm 6'0", 190lbs, and weightlift. the recaro srd did not fit me at all, it's way too small for my back and shoulders. the sparco torino might be a little larger but it doesn't have any hip/thigh support. currently i'm debating going with the sparco evo 2, it's a full race bucket that's made for big people. i'm just not sure how functional a daily driver race bucket will be. for autocross i find the stock seat with the seatbelt really tight works well enough.
