Default Expert advice please, how much Hp is the unsleeved b18c block good for?

Granted that tunning is good, whats the limit on an unsleeved b18c block with a block guard.Approx 9-1 compression pistons. Or rather, what is the max boost?

DRTRacing.com has pushed their racecar to 32psi and about 26 degrees of timing and lived to tell about it ...

600 hp, 400 ft/lbs will last a short time in a drag car. alot longer in a daily driver on c16. my car lasted a year @ 510 to the wheels and a year at 550 to the wheels. street and track driven. depends on the set up and tune.

We are planning to push a B16a with Pistons\Rods to 400whp + with Stock Sleeves very soon, on C16...Should be very doable...Just be conservative with that tuning...Run the Mixture slightly richer and dont go crazy on Ignition Timing.

I like to post it here cause more of the pros hang out here. I dont want to hear from some guy who hav 250whp guessing that it might be ok. I need hard up facts and how many people have over 500hp anyway?

I am probably making around of 475-500 hp in my crx - 140 mph traps in 2300 lb car. Car has been running perfect for the past 2 months (knock on wood, now it will blow up) I have a blockguard, eagle rods and JE Pistons - 25 lbs of boost. It's all in the tuning. Keep it safe and you'll be fine. I do have a sleeved block in the works.

It's ultimately gonna boil down to fuel selection and tuning. If you are a tuner with all of the equipment, a healthy budget, and want to make a point; go for it.

If your simply trying to avoid spending the cash for some good sleeves, your going to be disappointed. The cost of good fuel and proper tuning will outweigh the price of sleeves in very short order. And it won't be nearly as fun on pump pee.

My race car is sleeved , this is for my street car so Im not spending too much on a street car. The motor is fully built and fully race prepped except for the sleeves. I want to push about 4509whp while weekend racing.
Anyway Thanks guys.

If we are just talking about stock sleeves, I have just passed 500HP. Torque seems low with 81mm with just a tad over 300. How long will it last....I can't tell you yet.
History of the motor. Been seen boost almost two years. Always been running 15 pound constantly. reconfigure turbo setup, Almost broke 400HP half year ago. Reconfigure turbo setup again, broke 500 just recentl month. Seen multiple 15 plus dyno passes each session, I think 3 sessions total during the past month. This year so far raced 3 times at the events with probably 5-7 passes each. Drove to the track and back. The motor is still the same good ol' motor from two years ago. I havn't tear it down yet. I'm sorting out a backup motor soon, will build this one with sleeves.
