Clean bill of Health but.....
I still don't know why my 94gsr w/121k is getting poor mileage, I use to get around 23-25mpg, now i'm getting 20mpg. I had AAA ran a vehicle diagnostic on my car today from top to end(80 point diagnostic, motor, exhaust, brakes, suspension, etc) and the report was that the car is clean and engine in good condition. They even ran a cylinder balance electric test (whatever the F this is) and said the motor is good, so i was happy with that. I told them i did a full tune up(all with OEM parts) not too long ago. I thought I might need a new 02 sensor but they ran the fuel and emission test and said I didn't need one.
So my last question is, valve adjustment? The tech said it would help with 121k, he heard some minor tapping but I didn't get a chance to ask if this would help my gas mileage.
Will getting a valve adjustment help?
P.S.
Oh yeah,
The diagnostic cost me $63.75 as a AAA plus member. I had a $20 off coupon that my friend gave me which they said they would take in the beginning, but when I went to pay. They said they can't take the $20 off coupon anymore since I was a AAA plus member already, which i was like WTF
The old B!TCH said she ask her supervisor and he told her AAA plus member can't use that coupon!!
B!TCH A@@SS H@LE, I should have stayed and b!tch about it since she said I could use it in the beginning.
Anyway, here is the price breakdown, not too bad if you want peace of mind when buying a use car:
$85 non AAA member
$76.50 AAA member
$63.75 for AAA plus member.
