I was contacted last night to ask people for help.

IRDC is hosting a race on Aug. 16th and 17th, which happens to be the weekend that two other clubs are hosting races as well. It is great to have so much racing available in the PNW, but there is a real big shortage of Corner Workers and race support personnel to do this. The race will not happen without the required number of people on the track to flag or help in an incident.

We are in need of volunteers to help man the corner stations and such, so if you are interested and want to help out, you can PM me. I can forward your information to the proper people who can call or mail out information to you. There is some training required for some things, but they will cover all of that.

The really cool thing about helping out (other than the act of helping itself), is that you can have a pretty darn nice view of the track at PR, with a great perspective of how some of the best drivers in the region drive their line. Don't watch me.

I'm sure we can also find a couch or floor for the PDX guys to crash on Saturday night.

 

I am there the 17th...for sure. IM me or steer me in the right direction. I talked to Wes Hill and offered to help out with the BMW club this sunday, all he did was email me back and offer me a driving spot on Sunday! Oh well...guess I will have to hold off on helping until the 17th....

Not sure of the requirements that the BMW club have for their track days, they don't let non-BMWs run at the PNW school.

 

I got an invite from the director of the event. Suprised me too because I know spots are reserved for BMW owners.

This weekend is the ICSCC race.

 

I will be there on the 16th for a few hours. Unfortunately I won't be able to dedicate a whole day working a corner. (too much other stuff planned). Look foward to meeting some of you guys and hope to see Gregs new motored rocket ship. See ya Saturday

Greg and James are taking this weekend off to gear up for T-Hill. I'll be out Saturday for a bit to say hello. I need to introduce Brad to John so they can talk VW.
