Spit fire? What do you mean?
Obviously on a car that doesnt start, the starter could be the problem. Take a look at the starters solenoid with a test light while someone is trying to crank the engine.
You got to give us some more details than that about what hapenned.

sorry about it.. after the motor was in.. my friend cranked it and it started up and was shooting fire out of the exhaust..a day later.. tried to start it.. nothing is even cranking.. i checked fuse/battery and somewhat of the starter.. i ran direct power from the battery to the starter and it made no difference.. starter wasen't getting any power..
along with the starter check for spark and fuel...if you arent getting those it aint gonna fire...if you have these how is your compression?????
How do you want him to test compression if the engine is not even cranking?
Integra_Boi: Just to make sure, by cranking, you mean cranking, not starting, right?
If you plugged the plugs wires in the wrong order, this could have caused some backfiring, and maybe if an injector was stuck open it could've gone up to spitting fire... I imagine..
Does the starter solenoid click like its trying to start? You gotta get to know if the starter is working, and then you can check if the engine is stuck.
If you want to try turning your engine by hand to know if it's not blown, you can remove the front left wheel and use that hole that lines up with the crank pulley bolt to crank the engine with a ratchet (in neutral of course).
Have you tried pushing it and then starting it on compression?
give us some news..
