Default For anyone considering buying function 7 lower control arms ...

Well i remember reading a topic on here a while back about these new lightweight control arms from hybrid-honda. After checking them out i decided to place an order.

All i could think about was wow what a great deal, $179.99 for a set of really nice lower control arms with urethane bushings. That was almost 3 months ago, and guess what i still don't have them.

I started to call after about a week and half of my arms being classified as "backordered" on their website. The first lady i talked to told me they were waiting on the urethane bushings and that they'd be in tommorow. I waited 3 more days, and called back again, getting the same lady who basically told me the exact same story. I waited again, and called back again, getting the same story.
I finally get in touch with a different person, who tells me he hasn't even started my arms yet, and that they would be done in a week because he's so busy.

Fast Foreward a couple weeks
I goto call ... no one picks up, call the next day no one picks up, leave message after message for 2 weeks while no one answers their phone, responds to my instant messages or emails

Finally i get in touch with someone who basically tells me that the main guy had to have some major surgery unexpectedly and that they've been with him in the hospital. Perfectly understandable, i gave my condolences and asked if i could have a refund. They responded by saying yeah sure no problem, in fact they have a list of people that they will be giving refunds to because of this little problem. He tells me that the lady will give me my refund that day, and all will be good, they'll even refund my shipping charges. So i go to check my credit card balance online the 2 days later to see my money back, and guess what?

NOTHING! ... so i call back, and get the same guy who tells me they've been busy and that he has no control over it, the main lady takes care of it, and he'll forward on my message.

So i waited another week, and nothing, so i go to call them up, and guess what? No one answers the phone

SO basically now i figure i'm out of $179.99US dollars, and these people are pissing me off causing me stress.

I've been in contact with my lawyer who says that i can persue legal action, but i am uneasy about doing so, just because i live in Canada

So anyone planning on buying these arms or antyhing else from hybrid honda stay away, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

Thanks

Let me shed some light.

They had a BAD problem with bushing supply. The reason they went with the company they did was because they were promised quick delivery allowing them to release the arms for sale. Then they could not get enough bushings for the demand. At least that was how I understand it.

Adrian was the one who had to have surgery and the person who is able to make the arms on the CNC machine. He was down and out for a few days and the shop closed as a result.

Dawn is the lady you talked and the two of them are some of the most honest and nice people I have dealt with. They have had some slack employees that had to deal with and Adrian is picking up the slack now.

I got my arms the other day and have yet to put them on. I am sure they will give you the refund you requested but if you prefer I will ship you my arms and they can ship me yours when they get them ready. This is honestly how sure I am that I will see another set of arms soon.

I also have the Function 7 LCAs. I did have to wait a little while to get them, but they were always very nice on the phone and I had no problems dealing with them. My understanding was that they really had no control over the bushing issue, so I'm sure they will be willing to work with you...

I would definitely deal with Hybridgarage again...thanks guys!

I appreciate your input on everything I was 100% ok with the fact that their bushing supply was messed up, i mean i understand that stuff happens. I was even ok when i found out that Adrian had to have surgery i mean again stuff happens.

But when you say you're going to give someone their money back it should not take you 3 weeks to do so, i ahve no doubts that the people at this place are nice honest people they seem that way, but all i want is my money back. I already had to buy SRR arms because i had to wait so long

Thank you Trey for offering me your arms i think that is a testament to the kind of person you are, and thank you for giving me some input on the situation

Hopefully everything will get resolved, it's hard for me because i'm so far away and really am anxious about getting screwed over the internet.

Why would you contact a lawyer or even consider legal action? If you have not gotten the arms and do not feel comfortable with your order just contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. No need for a lawyer or any of that other nonsense.

They won't screw you over and I am 110% serious about shipping you my arms this week if needed. I am really in no hurry.

I know they have been harder than normal to get ahold of and I even IM'd Adrian about the mailbox being full problem one time since someone else not named was supposed to be cheking them. HE took care of as soon as he knew about the problem.

Sounds like a bad company. I understand problems, but if you can't do business in a reasonable and respectable manner, then don't do business period. Or at least warn potential customers you are having some problems.

I have to say you are a patient person. I would have contacted the BBB by now and had their asses.
