i dont think u can tell by just looking at the tranny case...usually the tranny case comes with a sticker that has the tranny code..but those stickers comes off easily..thanks

this seems sorta fishy. why would you want to trade a perfectly good jdm vtec cable tranny w/ all brand new synchros for a used usdm gsr ys1? If your tranny is a ys1 then its EXACTLY the same as the usdm gsr ys1 except you have lsd...and its got all new synchros like you stated. And as you probably know, the synchros in ys1's are notorious for going bad.

also, only the y1 and ys1 jdm trannies came with lsd from the factory. j1 or s1 did not

 

the reason why im selling or trading for a usdm gsr tranny is because the gsr tranny is easier to rebuild..cause all u gotta do is go to acura dealer and get the parts for it..JDM trannies are harder to get parts for from my experience from getting the new synchros put in to this tranny...im not sure on the jdm tranny code..so i guess this one is either a y1 or ys1 tranny..if i knew exactly what the tranny code was i wouldve posted it..but the gearing is short so i know for sure its not a integra LS cable tranny....i do alot of racing and i dont want the hassle of waiting for parts for the jdm tranny...like i said usdm tranny are easier to fix in my opinion...there is nothing fishy about the tranny...people can vouch for me...im not trying to rip anyone off..if your LOCAL and want to test out the tranny feel free to come by and ill install it on my car and let u drive it so u can make sure that everything works...hope this answers your concerns...and if you werent interested in what im selling why leave a reply..

bump for sosoxgino....if u read my reply carefully itll tell u why i want to sell it now...its cheaper for me to sell now thats its in good working condition than try rebuilding it again later when i need to rebuild it and pay more for the parts and wait for it to get here....like i said USDM tranny is easier to rebuild cause ACURA dealers are around the corner somewhere...

 

OK, who did the rebuild, do you have documentation from a tranny shop i.e. receipt, and where did the rebuilder get the parts?

i did the rebuild myself..i work on my own cars...got the parts from a jdm motor distributor here in the san fernando valley..i dont have receipt cause i paid cash and didnt pay tax...
