Just aquired a DC5 type s head. Worth the trouble to swap it out? The EP3 will be way out of warranty before i install, only got 1000 miles on it right now. Any idea what this does for compression?

 

Its supposed to be a complete bolt on as long as you have a complete head including IM, TB, EM, and everything else that is supposed to come attach to the type-s head.

Just out of curiousity out much did you pay for it and where can I get one

 

Got it for free off a blown bottom end. It is just the head, valves cams, and vtc actuators. And i have no idea where to get one. I just got lucky on this one...

OK Just got the motor out of the car today. Will pull the head off tomorrow. Looks as if it completely shatterd #4 rod. I will have to make sure the head is good before i start taking offers...
