Default Engine Info

I'v read alot about the B18C1 (GSR engine) having a "gridle" or somthing like that, I could be wrong, but from what I understand is it help the engine stay together at high RPM's, is this right? What exactly is the "gridle" what does it do, and where is it located? Is it possible to put one on a B18B (LS engine), would it help the bottom end at all?
