Default Stock pistons reusable after being pressed off rods?

Just like the title states can stock pistons be reused after being pressed of the rods? Or will they have stress cracks from being pressed off?

If done right and carefully, there is no problem reusing the pistons. If you use a machine shop, they may look at you funny when you tell them that you are reusing them, it doesn't happen that often.

You know that's what I always thought, that they could be reused, but last time I had a set pressed off and asked for them my machinist said they had stress cracks.... guess I'll just specify that I would like to keep the pistons next time.

You'll want to kiss the pin hole with a hone to make sure the pin hole is round. It can get a little out of round during the processing of pressing out the pin.
