Sell your 2001 and buy a gsr or a type r. They will still make more reliable power and w/all the cash you saved you could look into getting some mods, i.e. turbo/nitrous/sc/built internals.

I think is pretty obvious that a Type R would be the best way to go. ..but like everyone already said and i'm sure you already know, it'll be quite a bit more expensive. . . What I would do, even if i HAD the money to get a Type R head. . . would be get a B16 head and either reinforce the bottom end, or do some head work to get thad head breathing even better. . .
if youre car is an 01 id sell it and buy a gsr
unless you know people that will build your ls/vtec properly...you'll be better off w/the gsr. or just go FI

I personally got a B16 head because they are the same cast as the Type R and cost a helluva lot less. But if i had the money, i woulda definetely gone w/ a ITR head. They already got the double valve springs, great cams, and a decent P+P.
If u got da $$$$ get a ITR head if u don't, then get the poor mans ITR head (ie a B16 head)
if your goin to do an LSVTEC, don't just go and slap a VTEC head on a non VTEC block, u need to make sure u build the LSVTEC correctly to ensure reliability.

True. He also said it was an Acura Certified LS/VTEC that came from the factory ;x lol but that's besides the point. Screw LS/VTEC go LS-Turbo you'll push better numbers with less headaches if you know what you're doing.
