Anyone know how much the air condition system weighs in the R? I'm considering taking mine out and want to know if it's worth it for weight savings.

 

50Lbs TOTAL. Not really worth it for the weight savings, and there is almost no parasitic drag when its off. I took mine out because I could sell it for $500!!!!!

I also like the extra room!

What!!! 50lbs not worth it!!!?!! id give anything to lose another 50lbs..especially beacuse its up front and on the drivers side..
heres a list of things that i did to lose some wieght in that corner..
-a/c compressor and all other a/c stuff
-power steering pump and lines
-window washer resevoir
-a/c bracket replaced with jdm aluminum one
-N1 crank pulley
im gonna get it corner balanced again soon..ill let you know what i saved..i was at 2607 .with me in it...(i wiegh 160lbs)before these mods

LOL! I did the windshield washer bottle too! (only to make room for the brake ducting)
