Default which ZC haftshaft? Are auto axles diff then manual?

I was talking with Bryson (honda-tech member) about his halfshaft and he showed me a picture. It looked identical to mine but then i noticed the axle side had a different fitting.

My motor was orignally an auto and i think it came with the auto half shaft (the halfshaft says A/T ZC on the back). Are the auto axles different? The half shaft i have bolts to the back of my motor and tranny fine. I dont have axles yet i was going to buy a new set. I have a 93 civic SI hatchback. My ZC is a obd1. My tranny is a ZC hydro with a Cusco ZC LSD.

My halfshaft

Bryson's halfshaft

Now notice that the axle side (oposite of the tranny) has a different fitting. Bryson's has a female side, while mine is clearly male. Which one is the right one to use? Im planning on using 90 integra axles. (right?) Can i use my halfshaft with auto axles?

thanks,
liam

yeah, i have a obd0 zc with an oem lsd equipped zc tranny, and my halfshaft looks exactly like brysons, i dont know if it makes a difference, but another possible reason other than it being from an auto is that it was out of a different year, but the halfshaft that came with my zc definately had a female end for the axles to go into, not 2 male ends

they are very slightly different.. I think the Auto half shaft is a tad bit closer to then block.

But I dont know if it matters..

yea i dont know either. Im just wondering what axles do i get? I guess ill have to goto the acura dealer and see what ends the drive side auto/manual axles have. Or do i need swap to the other halfshaft.

My ZC is a obd1 with a 93 stamp on it (so it came in a 94 car). And im pretty sure it was an auto because it had the auto flywheel (the one with the holes) when i bought it.

go to hasport site to the tech section, where they give a lot of info on swaps.

In the axle section they have pictures of different intermediate shafts and yours looks like (I think) a GSR one.

BTW, do you have a spare obd-1 ZC dohc distributor, or know where to find one?

Ive been to the site..they didnt have much info on the diff between the auto and manual. Yea it looks just like a b-series (gsr,b16a,whatever). But its shorter and bolts to my ZC block.

And i dont have an extra dizzy. Im not sure what other honda dizzy might work either. Ill see if i can figure out.
