I was driving and my check light went on. Can a bad ignition coil cause it to light up? I know for a fact that my coil is bad cuz my tach jumps.

So I resetted my ECU and got rid of the check light. If the check light doesn't go on in the future, do I still need to worry about it?

Pata outlines it fairly well, I like to bend up a small paperclip to jumper the connector.

Next time it happens, get the code and find out what it's whining about. Then go from there.

As for the coil possibly causing a CEL, it's likely it could. But you'll never know now

 

Is there a trick to getting those pastic screw that hold the crapet to the floor out? There is this one in the corner and I can't seem to get it out. I don't want to break it.
