Best method of selling an ITR?
I've had my ITR for about 3 years now, and i'm wondering what the best avenue would be to sell it (classifieds, dealer, honda-tech?). I'm not buying another car to replace it, I'm just selling it because I don't need it anymore (just moved to a big city and left the car at home) and I'd hate to have it just sit around losing value. I'm not in any huge time rush, which is probably a plus.
I'm guessing selling it to a dealer is a surefire way to get shortchanged by a few grand. Would I be correct in saying classifieds and honda-tech would be the ideal place to advertise? Have I overlooked any options? Any feedback or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

If its just sitting, you might want to just let it sit forever because it will probably INCREASE in value, seeing as the way they are disappearing currently.
Classifieds and HT is a great place to start. Avoid the dealers. Just dont put a For Sale sign on it and place it on some corner somewhere, unless you want it to get stolen, in which case you will get full book value for the car which would be sorta like selling it LOL. But them some punk asses will be rollin around in stolen Hype R parts.

You really think it would increase in value? I used to think so, but while I'm not in a hurry to sell it, I don't think it would increase value (if at all) for at least a few years. They're amazing cars, but in a few years, there's going to some even more amazing cars out there, i'm sure. Any opinions?
I'm currently selling my itr, and autotrader yielded the best results by a long shot. I had no real leads from honda-tech, itrca, or yahoo autos. I put up an ad on autotrader last week, and I've already had three real inquiries. I'm probably going to be selling it tomorrow.
FWIW, the dealer offered me $15k for my 2000 w/ 55k miles. You don't want to go that route.

internet selling is bullshit in my experience, way too many "i want your car, but have to sell mine first" emails. its damn frustrating. Local autotrader and newspapers are the best bet.

not to mention if you dont bump your thread 7 times a day it gets kicked back to page 13 because everyone else is bumping their threads.....mods, ever thought about banning "Bumps" in classifieds?

My advice is to keep your eyes open on Autotrader, then when the # of Rs out there go down, list your car with a competitive price. Don't expect huge $$$ for it .. be realistic. I was, and I sold mine in 4 days
every multipage thread in classifieds is already 75% bumps, hell mine is....I went back and deleted them all though, got tired of seeing them.
