Hey Guys

I am about to buy a 93 or 96 honda civic in either then coupe or the hatchback model. It will recieve lite modifications at first and then be modified more as time goes on.

One important thing i need though is a roof rack because of my surfboard and mtn bike.

I see listings for a "COUPE, HATCHBACK, 3DR" and it says the 3DR model does not have a rack that fits it. What is the difference? What is considered a 3DR? I thought all hatchbacks were considered 3DR's?

Any advice is great!

Anyone have any pics of a coupe or a hatch with the roof rack setups? It would be great to see some pics

a hatchback is a 3dr. two doors for passengers, and the hatch is the 3rd.

 

Maybe th,e roofrack wont work because when the hatch opens it will hit it? Only thing I could think of as to why they dont have one.

its weird though, both fitment guides i check list both a hatchback and a 3 door

Which brand did you look at? I have one from Yakima that has the bike and board attachements. Go to http://www.yakima.com and check it out. I think they even have a store locator. I do believe REI stocks roof racks.
