Just got my new GRMS mag and there it is - a great article on Lyonel Kent and how the ECHC has won his heart And WHY - which is the most important.

And to think it all started 2 years ago by the people who post here the most (sometimes) and because of this particuar forum it all came together.

I am glad that I am part of the organization with enough foresight to be able to allow people to develop their own series, play in it to prove it works and then make it a National competition - mainly because others were jealous of what the East Coast guys had started.

Wow, you guys just totally made my day I wrote that article quite a while ago actually, while i was still freelancing and trying like hell to get a job here. Lyonel was a fantastic interview, he was very talkative and had tons of stories that made my job so much easier. I hope I'm as lucky with all my "boy and his car" assignments! And of course, I'm going to do as much coverage on the ECHC as David will let me.

you have no idea how much i'd love to be up at VIR this weekend, but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it...definately going to try to swing up for the Lowe's event though! Everyone have a fun & safe weekend!

 

I received my GRM today. The write-up for the BeaveRun HypeRfest was GREAT!
(I have been anxiously watching my mailbox since hearing about it).

I consider the story to be good publicity for the ECHC as well as Honda Challenge in general. In describing Lionel's efforts, it well explains what we are all about.

BTW, I am pictured standing between Cory and Danielle. IIRC we were discussing the beauty of pop-rivets.

GRM also mentioned Corey losing 4th gear and having to be pushed down the straight

 

I have to say that this to me is what racing is all about.

Keeping your competitors out on the track so you can compete.

Do you realize when you are older what a fond memory that will be? Both for Corey and Warren ------ and all the rest of us whe were part of that event!!!
