Default koni/eibach install

did a search and didnt find anything. im in the middle of a koni yellow/eibach prokit install and am wondering whether i should reuse the dust covers. a few websites say to reuse them but i noticed on the comptechusa.com instructions that they say not to reuse them. anyone kno from experience? thx in advance

you don't have to reuse them. if you decide to you may have to cut them down a bit to fit. enjoy the konis.

If you are installing regular springs, then yes you should use them. If you don't, dust and dirt can get on the shock piston and it can wear down the seal on top of the shock body. The only thing you need to do is enlarge the hole on top of the dust covers so it will fit over the Koni shock piston.

BTW the Comptech website says to not reuse the dust covers in the coilover install instructions, not on the regular spring install instructions.
