i have 97 dx d16y7... my best time so far is 16.5 i am throwing a code, for 2ndary o2 sensor.. cuz i only have one, since i have no cat. i have dc sports header for an EX, apexi WS exhaust, and AEM short ram. .....when i ran the 16.5 i was pretty happy.. but i dropped the clutch at like... 3500-4000 somewhere right around there.. i was wondering if i should go higher? my buddy told me to go 6k but i think that sounds a little high...... could someone help me out that has preferably a good 60ft. thanx.. ur welcome to flame as well...

 

I launched at 4500-5000 rpm in my old car with d16z6..So try something like that..You have to ride the clutch until it gets good grip.Don't floor it until then or it will spin like crazy..It got me in high 15s on street tires and a heavy *** 1995 Si

 

lol sweet, i wish i could get my heavy *** car in high 15's.. we will see one of these day's tho haha

 

what i do is lower my tire pressure to 20 psi and launch at 5500 in my d16z6 and i get 2.2 60's. i slip the clutch a little bit, launching like that got me 15.7 in my 92 ex 4 dr with intake and ehxaust.

 

sweet... i ran a 2.3 60' with 32psi on my tires.. but still got 16.5 mainly because of my code that i am throwing i believe...
