Default T25BB Turbo

I have begun the quest. What is the difference between a T25BB and a T3/T4 turbo? Which would you guys suggest? I found a new resource.

T25BB Sounds like a GT25, which is a Ball Bearing T25 similar to what came on the turbo eclipse stock. The GT25 is good for up to 310 HP in various configs. That or a GT28 would be my choice for a turbo Accord. The T3/T4 is a hybrid that uses a T3 Turbine housing for less restriction, and a T4 compressor section for more airflow. It's too large for a 2.2l, but cheap and readily available. There are also more cast manifolds using flanges for that Turbo though, so if you can't get a GT2x turbo with a T3 flange, get a GT3 with smaller trim options for quicker spoolup, cause everyone knows Hondas need down low TORQUE.

After reviewing the link, I'd recommended the Extreme kit. For a 30% increase in power, you can just go with an H22 swap. I'd get higher flow injectors, 2.5" exhaust, and a Hondata for that extreme kit though. I don't trust those bolt on injector thingies.

Oh yeah, the BB turbo provides quicker spoolup and longer life.

GT25 is what i have to stick on my Accord, it should be a good size for it and should spool up hella quick...looking forward to it

EDIT: T28BB and GT series are different things, the 200sx/silvia comes with a T28BB

So in theory the T25 spools up quicker than a T3/T4. But which one will produce a nice amount of power without having to boost insanely. Looking at about 10-12lbs.

I'd go with the T25. the T3/T4 flows enough air for something like 400+ HP. That right there should tell you it's overkill on a 2.2l engine. The T25 supports 210+ HP with little to no lag. If you can, spring for a GT25. That will hold boost better at high RPMs.

Yea but the majority of people that I know have T3/T4 turbos. It comes standard on most Turbo kits.

my hks kit came with a t25.

instant spool. No lag whatsoever. I love it where all these ******* kids on these forums are all like "no dude its too small maing it wont work i ran all the numbers on my fuel map and boost conversion maps!!!!" or some bullshit theory ****.

Just put it on and drive, stop ******* with it for an extra 10hp and just drive.

Dyno is booked up and I'm busy with work, but I can tell you it will be a helluva lot higher than what ive hit with nitrous, and those #'s were 174hp and 192tq on a 55shot. (Zex kit)

I'll get there when I get all my school stuff finished. School comes before cars.
