OK, I give up. How the F' do you get the factory stereo out?
it's a '96 LS Integra
It still has a tape deck in it, and I'm trying to replace it with a factory CD player, but I can't figure out how to get the damned deck out. Does the factory deck need those flat little "keys" to come out? Or am I just not seeing something?

go to a drag strip/ lonely country road and induce large amounts of wheel hop.
works like a charm
or, do what everyone else is saying and take out the center console. there are 2 screw/bolts holding it it. just watch ur nuckles, blood may or may not result from trying to get the damn thing out

i'm try'n to take mine out too, but it's also got the phone system on top of the stero deck, and when i try pulling it out, both deck sticks together, and it just won't come out right even after losing the 2 screws at the back, but the whole thing was lose, but seems like there's also something securing the deck besides those 2 screws...anyone kno how???
i had a huge problem with these two screws when i took my factory stereo out. You don't need to remove the console to get at them though, but it might make it 800% easier if you do.
Lay down on the passenger side floor and look up into the console area, you may need a flashlite to see the screws. There they are, grinnin right back at you, almost whipering, "were not goin anywhere"
good luck

Damn you guys are all over the place!
Do I have to actually remove interior trim pieces just to see these two screws? I am actually pretty limber, and I have an assortment of wobble sockets, angle drivers, etc. My other car is a '76 Corvette, so I'm used to dealing with badly located fasteners.

u dont have to remove the center console and trim around the shifter all the way, u just have to take out the screws so it u can move it a little. i dont remember what trim pieces u have to take out around the radio, but it isnt that hard. just getting to the 2 screws in the back can be a pain, definetly need a wobble attachment.
yea once the center console is removed, you will be able to look under the radio and see 2 silver screw/bolts(i dont remember which), unfasten those two, then the radio will pull out along with teh little tray under it, and then its just the 2 screws on the side that connect the tray to the radio.
i just got help from a midget to get those
two little screws...
so its was an easy task..
you could rent one @
