Default Dc sports 4-2-1 or 4-1? already searched

I'm looking for a few opinions on which header to get. I already have a sr intake but i'm gonna install a aem cai + catco hf cat in a few weeks and i have the tanabe srm cat back. I've been told that the dc 4-2-1 is supposed to give you good mid range power and the 4-1 is good for top end but I don't know anyone that has either. My final goal that i'm searching for is about 200 wheel horse power out of my ls and i might find that or a little more eventually with a vortech or jr sc, but all the parts that i'm buying right now i want to work well with the current n/a and work toward the final goal of a modest amount of boost. I do want usable power and top end isn't that big of a deal for right now. Any opinions that anyone has would be great (p.s. sorry about writing a book)....

Generally 4-2-1 is good for bottom end. and the 4-1 is for top end. Thats what I always read

Yes. 4-2-1 has more mid-range power while 4-1 has top end power, which is more of a racing header since you're in vtec, or for you b18b owners, in the upper RPM range during most of a race.

4-2-1 is better, you'll make more use of it, and generally unless you got some badass cams and a NA motor that makes crazy power get the 4-2-1

You are correct 4-2-1 midrange and 4-1 top end. For your app i woudl suggest 4-2-1. 200 whp is out of the question wiht all motor. It can be done with the JRSC(not a fan) Vortech makes good power but its not usable power. Thier power range is in high rpm. For the same price you can piece together a nice reliable turbo kit. Dont be alarmed and say the typical noob response and say "it's not reliable". Its all up to the user and how you take care of your car. Do some research and you'll find that this may be your best option if you want to make 200whp

ugh..

4-2-1 is not always just for midrange where 4-1 is for high rpm

Hybrid headers like the hytech, smsp, etc combine the aspects of both 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers and produce power in both areas.

Such hybrid headers are 4-2-1
