Do you have a vacuum to your regulator.

Hey, I live right next to kirkland, sorry to ask a non related question, but do you have any pictures of your ride, maybe I've seen it.

k i got an idea, i dont know if this is a good one or not but i was just thinking about all those people with fuel pump kill switches, what if i was to do the same thing but backwards like a fuel pump on switch. say i spliced into the fuel pumps power and connected it directly to the power switch, then wired it to something that turns on when i turn the ignition or a switch, would that work? im just throwing out ideas im really stressin on getting my motor started

That ought to work. I'd only do this to troubleshoot & get the engine running. Then fix it right, if it's the main relay, or the tach signal, or whatever.

For safety, the ECM needs to be able to shut off the fuel pump in a crash. Or you don't want someone to 'forget' and leave your fuel pump running when the car's parked overnight.

No need to go extra steps. Do you have a ohm meter, err volt meter. Test the power supply to the fuel pump, do you get a reading? Check or kinks in the fuel line to filter. Does your filter have gas in it?

checked it with a multimeter and there was no power to it. theres no kinks that i can see. and the fuel filter has no pressure at all.

okay i got another idea.... instead of riggin it up to a switch that turns on and off. what if i wired it to something that turns on when i turn the ignition like the radio or a clock or something? would that work? so when the car turned on the fuel pump turned on and when off pump goes off aswell

Get a manual to find the exact power needed to supply the fuel pump, i.e. 12v radio powe. Then that would be something good to try.

How much current does the pump draw? 15A? So you need to find a circuit that can handle 15A IN ADDITION to whatever it's already doing. You're not going to get that from a 10A radio circuit. You could wire a circuit directly from the battery with a switch. Just for troubleshooting to make sure the engine runs...

I think you need to figure out why the proper circuit isn't working. You've checked the fuelpump fuse, right? Does the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you first turn the key on? From your first post it sounds like 'NO'... With your DMM & circuit diagrams, you just gotta get systematic about checking from the power supply all the way back to the pump. It's a tedious PITA, but I'm in the dark without a circuit drawing for your car.

i'm having the same problem on my 90' teg.Try putting power directly to the harness to see if the pump turns on,it should fire unless something else is wrong.
