A friend of mine has a 89 CRX and his motor is blowin a little black smoke. Myself, I have an EG so I don't know much about CRX's. I was just wondering what motors swap directly into a CRX? I told him to get a D16 vtec cuz he just need something that will work, but of course he wants a little quickness to it. Can you help a CRX noob out? And please, don't link me to the search engine, I already searched and couldn't find anything on it.

I agree with the Z6 too (D16 VTEC) - just because it's newer, VTEC, and it's probably one of the most common motors around... he would have to convert the car to OBD-1, but everyone says it's not that big of a deal - like a 1 day project

OR

JDM D15 VTEC - it's basically the same as the Z6, just a little less displacement - but it makes the same amount of power, maybe even more...
