Default HELP: J's racing intake onwers. a question...

hi.. i just got my j's intake and i have a question.
you know those hose that connect to side of intake to the engine ?
and when i replace it with old one. do i actually take the whole piece out ?
i was wonering cuz if i remove the OEM unit there will be 2 small black hose that comes from bottom, those 2 will be open. so what do i do with it?

so do i remove it and put the hose or put the hose and leave the oem unit on?

if I'm not mistaken I think you're talking about the breather hose that connects to the valve cover and intake piping, right? well I just left the stock hoses as is and pulled the metal male air line piece out of the J's racing intake and left the rubber o ring in the intake and just plugged the stock piping back into there. looked better than having the extra few stock hoses not hooked up if I used the hose that came with the intake. hope that helps. good luck

There are two metal hoses.

Valve cover one is for the air to go through.

The other one is for coolant.

You can use the j's to connect the intake to the valve cover. For the other one, you can get another hose or use your oem one and reroute the hose from the blockt o the intake manifold. If you need further help, you can IM me.

I did as said before too.
I took the metal tubing out of the j's intake (slides out easily) and just used the stock pipe back in. Fits great and no more worries.

Take the metal tubing off and run two seperate rubber hoses. So ease.

yeah, just get some more rubber hose from an auto store (napa, autozone...) and take off the factory hose

Just stick the factory peice in the breather portion and the other peice into the intake. it fits. just take out the nipple on the intake tube.
that is what i did.
