Upgrading Master Cylinder and Booster
i have Type R front calipers and rotors in the front and in the rear i have LS rear calipers and rotors, so needless to say the stock 89 Si master cylinder isnt doing enough.
My question is if the 90-93 integra MC will be enough or will i have to get a new booster as well
i also did a search but did not come up with anything to really help me.

yea thats what i figured, but will the larger booster and MC handle the larger calipers of should i be going bigger?
if i am running my stock disk/drum setup would it be benificial to upgrade to a 90-93 MC/booster setup? I am going to be replacing them soon either way.

Your best bet is go with Remanufactured parts. Of which they are Nissin, but the parts stores you get won't have Nissin numbers, they will have Wagner or something since they are the ones who reman things.
Get 90-93 Integra non-ABS MC and Booster. That is all you need to know.

i only ask for the part number cause my other crx, which is now in the junkyard, had a upgraded MC and booster but me being the moron that i am forgot to remove it when stripping out the car. i wanted the number to compair to see if that is what was on there, since the guy who i bought the car from did the brake swap.
chances are im better off with a new item anyway
thanks

You can ID them by the number on the side. 90-93 has a 15/16 MC. Most 88-91 Civic/CRX had a 13/16. I know the 90-91 EX also had a 15/16 same as the Integra.
The difference in the boosters and MCs from Civic and Integra is the way the MC mounts to the booster. On the Civic the "bracket" on the MC with holes faces like this "/" and the Integra is like "\" if I recall.

I found a 90 teg JDM 15/16th master cylinder and it bolted right onto my stock CRX booster. They're really hard to find, so it might be easier to just do the booster and MC at the same time.
Why do you need to upgrade your booster??
Just buy a 89 prelude master cylinder and slap it on and be done with it.
Just a note: Roger foo used a stock 13/16 MC on his winning world challenge civic with huge AP brakes.

I used a new stock booster.
I added a larger 89 Accord LXi master cylinder. It bolts on to the stock crx setup and is 15/16. And some people have said it reqires bending lines but I didn't have any problems with the installation(no bending necessary).
Makes a nice difference...especially with some stainless braided steel lines.
I can inderstand an upgraded MC but upgrading the booster kinda seems like a waste.

Is the ITR booster/MC same as the GSR booster/MC? Did it bolt to the firewall hole, no problem? The pushrod linkage connects to the pedal in the same manner?

Yes, I believe the GSR and R to be the same 1" size.
It bolts up fine, it looks HUGE compared to the stock unit but it fits no problem. My stock booster was leaking and messing with my idle so I got the R booster/MC.
