Philly Dyno Day Results...
Went to the Philly Dyno day at http://www.xoticmotorsports.com yesterday. Saw some nice boosted Honda's, hung out and played GT3, and got to watch boostedhybrid in action tuning (that guy is good!). My stock R put down 166whp with the power steering belt off - I was happy with that, but it definately got me itching for more (bOOst perhaps?). Click here for charts and analysis:

PS - got there at 9:30 and got 4 runs for $40!!! Xotic is a great shop, and I recommend them to anybody in the PA/NJ/DE area...

Ran into a problem with my downpipe and my .48 a/r turbine housing was really restricting flow as well. I put down like 220whp and 175lbstq @ 9psi. I didn't want to run crazy boost because the motor is still being broken in. Next time Pete and I go down we will both be running .82 a/r turbine housings and My downpipe will be fixed. he is looking for 550 at high boost. I am only tuning for around 350. I am not as crazy as him.

Oh, and just wanted to point out one graph:

This graph shows two runs - run 2 was done with my DIY intake plugged into the stock airbox (w/ comptech foam filter). Run 4 was with the airbox disconnected (ie open tube, no filter). You can see that, while the open tube made ~2 more peak HP, the stock airbox w/ DIY intake tube made alot more midrange, and had a considerably smoother power curve. Just some food for thought for those of you that are always touting the advantages of the "filter on a stick" setup...
BTW - all runs made with hood open, fan on front of car, and tranny in 4th.
My DIY intake is basically a homemade icebox setup - no resonator, stock tube to resonator cut and turned to face forward. I also have a duct in the front bumper to direct cool air into the area behind the rf turn signal where the intake tube is.

do they allow parking inside the gates or is this one of those events you got to enter to get in
I have been to other events and had to park in the grass and walk in then.
