Have a 93 Accord 2.2 with 182k miles. At idle, engine is very rough and shakes car. As soon as start to accelerate, runs fine. Also, when RPMs are low and driving, just before torque converter lock up, whole drivetrain shudders and as soon as locks up, stops or if you downshift stops. Any ideas?

 

bump that...I have the exact same problem in my stock '93 LX 5spd. Shudders like a mother if the RPMs drop below 1000, but perfectly smooth above. I've resorted to sitting at lights with my freakin' foot slightly on the gas at all times. I've also noticed that it's better when I use 91 octane as well as not using the A/C OR turning my wheels while idling. Feels like the power's just being robbed somewhere.
