Default H22a1 distributor

Can someone tell me if there is a distributor from another engine which will fit JDM h22 motor? JDM has internal coil, but that is not a big deal, have run external MSD coil before.
JDM dist. is difficult to find, read $$$$, and am looking for less expensive substitute
Thanks
Ron

All of the 92-95 Civic distributors are same.... same internals that's also used in the JDM OBD-1 H22A distributors... just that they need to be modified to fit onto a H22 head (grinding/cutting of the distributor legs) but yes any 92-95 Civic distributor will work.

So: any 92-95 dist will work fine on the h22 motor, but it will not bolt on without a little cutitng of the legs?

How many of the 3 legs will you have to cut/grind to get it to bolt on? I.e., can you get it to bolt on correctly and securely? Will you still have the full range of timing adjustability that you get with a stock h22 dist? A 92-95 dist. will definitely be easier to find...

</TD></TR></TABLE> that is correct I just did this last week.. also the civic dizzy sits # 1 at a totally different spot than the H22 dizzy but it will work with modification.
