Default need: oxygen sensor '96 accord

check engine light came on about a week ago. got it scanned at autozone and it came up as the oxygen sensor. but the funny part is that the dugan didn't read and see if it was the one before the cat or after. Anyway, both of them are way too expensive, both at the zone and online. i was going to pull both of them from a lot that i have access to, but i was wondering if i needed a '96 or would '94-97 be fine. Are the computers the same for the o2 sensor?

96-97 will have two sensors

94-95 only having one:

as far as computers: 94-95 is different then the 96-97

alright, good to know. so i can get a '96-'97 o2 sensor. im just going to replace both at the same time b/c both have the same amount of age on them. i only have 86K on my car. should they be going out about that time? and another question, is my gas mileage going to **** b/c of that sensor or is it just sucking a little bit?

if your car has less than 150,000 on it, it will be free. Honda extended the emmissions warranty on your car for 15 yrs. or 150,000. check your local dealer for info.

just replace the primary one, chances are that's the one that needs replacing anyway. i have the after-cat one disabled anyway cuz of my cat, doesnt make a difference.

Just curious....would that extended emmisions warranty apply to 94 J-vin ex's too?

Any other warranties in effect?
