Default Does your exhaust shoot out a lot of carbon?

Everyday, I turn my car on in the garage in the same spot so that it can warm up, and noticed that there's a dark black spot forming on the ground where it would be coming out of my exhaust. It made the most during the first 1000 miles on my new block, but, now its not really so bad. It even made a dark spot on my bumper just above the exhaust from the carbon build up. It doesn't really do it much anymore, but, I was just wondering if that was normal for it to happen during the break in period?

I have both the black spot in the garage and the black rear bumper. I kinda expected it tho b/c i have no cat.
