I'll be there in a red Miata... wondering which turn(s) will be the humbling "you need to carry THAT much speed in a Miata turn(s)." See also, T-10 at Summit.

Nascar (faster than you'd think),
uphill esses (flat out I'd bet),
pre-Oak Tree (almost flat out),
end of back straight (brake near the zero mark probably),
hogpen (blazing fast).

I will be there for a few days.
First time on track, or the first time at VIR?
Details about the car please.</TD></TR></TABLE>
This will be the first time at VIR. I've done two FATT's at Summit Point.
The car has the following upgrades:
Koni OTS shocks
Stainless steel lines
Carbotech track pads
ATE Superblue fluid
Kirk 4 point roll-bar
that's it. It's a G-Stock car by heart, so it's pretty much stock.
Just bought some new 14" Azenis today, should be in Friday.
see ya'll there,
AJ

South Bend (T-10) - blind left hander at the top of the hill after the uphill esses. Fun stuff.

Aahj, I was under the impression you wanted to get into racing. If so, I would recommend you focus your time and resources going forward towards race schools not driver's education. If you just want to go fast on track, schools are awesome and very safe. To learn how to race however, I feel the money would be better spent in a racing environment.

Think about it this way, fast laps in Spec Miata are in the low 2:23 range as far as I know - sooo, its pretty much all of them (the THAT much speed turns). From my experience being in races with them, they are looney toon fast entering Roller Coaster (the left hander entry) - the rest of them, they are just flat
Actually you might want to hit up SpecMiata02 (think that's it) and Track Rat as they'd be able to point you in the right direction. Best of luck and have fun (and profusely thank anyone getting into the right seat
).

I was hoping to go, but I need to save money for my Las Vegas trip the following week. Plus I need to take care of a few things on my car prior to my next track event.

Hey, I'll be there all 3 days... if you want to catch a ride around in a Miata... hit me up. Yellow SM #41. My favorite turns... Nascar, Uphill Esses, Oak Tree, Roller Coaster and Hogpen. Gosh, that's alot of favorite turns.
r2x ~ who has a new cage so there's no longer a bar between the passenger's legs.
