Default honda civic ex 21mm front sway bar and ITR 22mm rears. .how will it handle??

i think i've read somehwere that you want a thicker rear sway bar than the front so it will handle better.. Can somebody elaborate on this?? something about if you have the same size front and rears, you'll cancel what they both do. I'm just curious when I install ITR rear sway bars, if I should upgrade my stock front ones also, or should i just keep it the same??
Currently I have 21mm front sway bar and 14mm rear sways. How much of a difference will i notice when i install the ITR rear 22mm sway bars... and will it be good, or should i just leave it. Thanks

meh...

i have suspension technique sways.

front and rear, and both are 22mm. when i put them on, ther was a big difference. much more stiff. less body roll.

some sways, strut braces, and some tires and u can take corners pretty good.

em-racing bars are a excelent choice also.

A huge difference. If you have springs installed, even more.

You won't be able to go through a corner much faster than stock, but it will feel much better. Control is increased, it will go exactly where you point it. IMHO, the single biggest suspension upgrade you can make. Mine made more of a difference than springs/shocks.

Cheers,
Roy

Putting on just the rear sway will result in a little more oversteer (actually less understeer). Essentially, it won't be as resistant to turning as it is now. My suggestion is to start with just the rear, and see how you like that. if you decide you'd like it to be a little more neutral, upgrade the front.

you'll get a noticable difference... although it could be a little too taily, i can't really comment as my integra has a 24mm swaybar up front with a 22mm rear swaybar.
i know that 4th gear sweepers at the track are already a little hairy as it is, i can only imagine it being scarier with a 21mm front swaybar.

... i think i could actually do with a little downforce at the rear. maybe an ITR wing or something along those lines wouldn't go astray. i'm not sure yet though, as i don't really fancy the look with big wings, lips and side skirts.

somebody please elaborate for me..

what is understeer and what is oversteer. is understeer where the rear is a little looser and more prone to fishtailing.. or is that oversteer?

understeer is when you want it to turn but it just wont - this is usually a good thing for the average joe on the street - "safer" because you are less likely to lose control and spin out
oversteer is when the rear loses grip before the front, your turns rotate better. It can be a bad thing if you arent used to it or a good thing like for autox.

hey... last question.. looking at bsq's website..

5.) 52312-ST7-Z00 endlink bushing collar ($3.98) (4 needed) – this part can be reused from the stock swaybar

what exactly is that part??? and just to make sure.. if i already have rear sway bars... I do not need to order this part... right?? just wanted to be 100% sure b4 ordering.

They are metal rings that go inside the rubber bushing at the ends of the swaybar - 2 per side. Right, you dont need them since you have your stock swaybar, but it cant hurt to get new ones. they are a wear item imo.
