You could go for the Tein SS, which are oriented for street operation.

I believe the Tein HA's are no longer available for the DC5 and it has been replaced by the SS...

I would recommend Flex for the independent height adjustments if you want other models from Tein

Go with Flex for two main reasons, one I dont think HA is available and FLEX can be combined with the EDFC system to give you in car control.

Well speaking from an owner of SS I love it. Yea they are street orientated. Unless you plan to track a lot, go with SS

teins are known for spring perches seizing and rust issues. the type Flex has teflon coating, so no rust. the HA is still being made in Japan. but the HA has no teflon coating. SS also has no teflon coating.

Go with the Flex bro. I have them on my S and they are amazing. SS do not have teflon coating so it may rust in the future, but the Flex does have teflon coating. Plus the Flex has alot more options then the SS has, plus it comes with the upper pillow ball mounts already included. Spend the extra cash and get your money's worth.

the HA's are discontinued for US sale because Tein thought it was too rough for US roads and the fact that people were breaking tie rods or something w/ the HAs....anyways the one that was sent to replace the HA's is actually the Flex's.....with the comment about the JIC FLT-A2's vs Flex, I'm considering the JIC FLT-A2s since I've had the Flex's before and they were stiff but not to what I really wanted exactly..hopefully the JIC's will do it

Have you considered comparing spring rates between the Flex and FLT-A2? The Flex has slightly stiffer springs in the rear while the JIC is slightly stiffer in the front. I don't remember the exact #s but you can see for yourself and find out which one suits your taste.

Why not try the FLT-A2RS? You could customize the spring rates to your liking, but there are also other nice coilover set-ups with stiffer spring rates (i.e. Zeal V6, Buddy Club RS, etc.)

JIC's site says it's 8/9 for the DC5/EP3.

I'd personally get custom made spring rates if money wasn't a factor. That is if you really care that much on how well you want your car to handle.
