Default ls rebuild

ok my 94 integra ls is burning oil so im trying to figure out what im gonna do when i rebuild this thing.i am on a tight budget and am mainly concerned with with tht high mileage motor getiing new parts and running good more than anything else but i was wondering what pistons and other parts i can upgrade to give the motor some more kick since im replacing them,the motor has an intake header and exhaust and im not sure if it will have more than that,,thanks for any info in advance,,oh yea eventually im getting an si or gsr tranny

Have you considered a swap? It will likely be cheaper than a good rebuild.

you can go with a basic rebuild with stock pistons or some ITR pistons.. that for sure will increase your HP and at the same time you have replaced the block with new rings, oil pump, water pump, etc.

overbore .20 over pr3 (b16a) pistions
fully ballanced bottomend
ls head with ef1 valvetrain and ls cams
and a single ply headgasket.

compression should be around 11.0:1 and you could make like 175whp with this set up
