Torture, but alot of good work done...read inside.
Well, if you havent seen my posts, recently a loud rubbing noise has been in my car. Today I decided to change that.
After having my windshield replaced (cracked, have it replaced for track (Import wars tmrw)), we put my bitch on the lift and opened her up.
Oh yea, the driver side wheel bearing and ball joint were shot. Mmmmk not too bad...we order a new wheel bearing, thru Speedy (friend is manager, I get to use free shop and tools+their help!!!) and it comes asap. Yay. My lugs have been goin recently (tuner lugs, rusted and worn) so after some hunting I found some for 80 bucks. Gag.
I forgot to mention that on the way to Speedy, my lug broke off with my stud...right on the highway.
So the hub had to be taken off, so after a few more hours, I ordered 2 new ball joints, and another wheel bearing plus a new stud. It took MANY hours to get all sides fixed, but let me tell you, theres not a ****** sound in my car anymore. Plus it drives insanely well...like your on a cloud...
Im amazed, yet extremely pissed that my damn Honda/Acura took so long to fix (12 hours for driver and pass. side ball joint and wheel bearing replacement...)
The problems we ran into were ridiculous and untimely, but after 2 am, we were finished. Now im ready for Import wars later today (eastern time
)
Small question...The C (see...sea:?) clamp wasnt put on one of the hubs...will it be ok (for now?) We didnt have the time or energy to put it back in after we noticed we DIDNT put it in.
Cliff notes: C clamp needed in replacement of ball bearings and wheel bearings? Is it ok to have it not on temp.? O and the car was bein a bitch
