Online source for Bridgestones?
I'm looking for a set of RE730s, but TireRack is currently out. Does anyone know another online Bridgestone dealer?
And just to confirm, mounting the 205/50R15 on the stock rims is not a problem, correct?
Thanks for the help,
Floyd

Damn, that sux. I was gonna tell you Tire Rack cuz thats where I got mine. They seem to have the best price on them
No problem with fitment, I ordered that exact size, and man I love them. Honda should have put 205's on from the factory!!

No problem with the fitment, and also you should check out any Firestone shops in your area. They carry Bridgestones (obviously) and will often match a printed out price from Tirerack. I wouldnt mention theyre out of stock...you should be good to go.

I have a smallish technical question on this topic.
How do you know if 205's will fit factory rims? In other words, at what point can you substitute another tire size for the factory size? Does it simply mean that your tire will "bulge" out? A lot of people do use 205's on their stock rims, but I'm just wondering in general how it works. Example: would you be able to fit 215's on your stockers? At what point (if any) does it just not work?

Thanks for the help guys. I did check my local shops and they were asking so much more for them that I didn't even think they would match TireRack's price. For their prices I could have ordered RE010s from the Rack... I'll give it a shot though.
As far as the oversized tires on the stock wheels, I was wondering how far you could push it myself.
BTW? Why are the tire width/sidewall ratios in metric while the mounting diameter is in inches? Go figure...

Wrong. 215 fits fine!
I baptised my 215/50x15 (stock rims) Bridgestone RE540S semi-racing tyres last weekend. Worked a treat. Only trade-off is the extra 1.5kg they weigh.

I think i heard from someone that if the rim width isnt "wide enough" that the actualy contact patch of the tire would be less than the ideal width for a specific tire? for instance a 215 on a stock rim would not have all 215mm on the ground...where as you slap 215 on a wider rims, it'll get the whole contact patch on the ground.
