My car slides into reverse no problem but when I try to take it out it sticks and I have to force it out. This only happens whith reverse. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I have a 98 SH with 68K on it if that helps. Thanks guys

i have this same problem with my h22 in my civic.

well, it doesnt go into reverse very easy at all, but when i do get it to go in, i have to really smash the shifter to get it out.

i hope its something simple!

 

well this could be a bad clutch. do a clutch test. put it in four gear at a dead stop and dump the clutch. a good clutch will automatically kill the engine. if it takes more then three seconds push the clutch in again and go get a new one. my sister has a similar prob in her saturn, but thats only coming out of second on the up shift. u can nver go wrong wit taking i to your honda dealle an asking them. hope this helps some how.
