Hit the gas when you see the first yellow light....
No, not really, people ususally get their best times when they drop it into gear from neutral and **** on their own.

D4 down to d1 or d1-dd??

Dude please dont manu-shift something not meant to be. You'll just f'k up your trans and everything. SOme people say that brake starts help. Meaning hold the brake down and rev up the car.

Neutral drops on auto's are.

you can seriously mess up your trans.

Theres really no "technic" so slam the gas

Step 1: Put foot on gas pedal
Step 2: Depress pedal to the floor as fast as you can

that is the best bet!!
you will damage your clutch pak or converter by either way (neutral to d4) or
(1 to d4)
it will work but you are going to have to change your tranny pretty soon
but if you want to remain auto upgrade your transmision in wich is $$$

Ive heard of level 10 transmission pretty sure you could find them on

1)You will damage your transmission
2) If you have an exhaust then your car will sound like ****
3) if you dont i'll assume the car is stock and you shouldn't be racing anyways.
4) back to #2 even if you have an exhaust the car is still slow
5) If you've read all of the above sell your car and buy a manual.

IF you MUST shift an A/T you go 1 -2 -3 - D3 or D4.
NEVER Downshift an A/T you could cause major damage.
AND according to the Helms NEVER EVER for any reason, hold the brakes and throttle down at the same time. This will damge an A/T
quicker than a neuteral drop will.
Shouldn't be racing with a honda A/T they are not that strong to begin with.
I was just talkin to this guy who lives near me with a fairly new Prelude
who blew up his A/T by racing. He said a new one was $4000. His words
not mine. I don't know anything about Preludes.

NEVER neutral drop it (bye bye tranny)
NEVER shift it (bye bye tranny again)

just put it in drive and floor it!

I really don't understand who you are expecting to race in a 96 automatic ls integra. Unless you are racing your friends Ford Tempo or your moms Toyota Corolla then to tell you the truth you really dont have a chance. My advice sell the 96 ls to a old lady, and buy a 94 gs-r and then learn how to drive a stick.
Have a good one.

Do not do a neutral drop, its bad for the tranny, and its not even a good method even if it weren't bad for the tranny, if you've ever tried to do it you'll know what i mean. And I don't reccomend manually shifting your transmission either, when people talk about manually shifting an auto when racing, its in cars with transmissions & shifters that were meant for that. You slip up a gear on accident and hit nuetral instead of D4, well, your screwed. If your gonna race it, hold down the brake and just give it a little gas, then release the break.

I definitetly think the best way to take off in autio is to hold down the break and rev it up a bit. But obviously, this is hard on your breaks.

It's ALOT harder on your transmission, than your brakes.
The rotors are not spinning, so kinetic energy is not being transformed
into thermal energy.
That transformation is taking place inside your A/T and it was never designed for that purpose. All the heat that is generated by that menouver
will DESTROY a honda A/T quite rapidly.
The helms even mentions it as "something that should never be done for more than 10 seconds".

tried that **** at the track with my friend EX accord. lol it only makes you .1 (tenth) faster.

I know what it's like to have a slow *** car. I had a Automatic Civic for a while. Then I moved up to my GSR. Talk about change.

Your best bet is really to sell it and get a 5spd one.

easy, shift down to D4, then drive yourself to a used car lot and trade up for a sports car with a 5 speed
