What CAI . . . ?
i am in the process of putting a d16z6 intake manifold on my y7 and dont know what intake to use. should it be for a 96-00 ex? i know its a different style header, but are they the same dimensions? any feedback is appreciated.

thats true. does it change the position of the throttle body? then get the one for the z6 motor

yeah it changes the position of the TB, but im not sure if it'll be the right shape to go into a 6g civic, it may be different than a 5g. any know for sure?
I have a 96-2000 EX CAI made by AEM in silver used about three months. Also includes the bypass valve. But the intake has never been cut to install the valve. If interested IM me.

a hole for the piping to go through.
99-00 civic SIs have the hole stock. you need to cut the hole yourself on every other civic if you wish to put on a 99-00 Si CAI.

i thought all civic's came with that hole, i have that hole, and so does my friend with a 98 civic and we didnt do it... and i dont think the intake would matter on what year, cause im pretty sure that any cai from the 92-00 civic will fit. Only difference would be the 96-00 has an extra spot for some sensor on the intake arm that the 92-95 civics dont have.
All 96-00 Civics that use the D16Y8 (SOHC VTEC) motor or the B16A2 (DOHC VTEC) motors came with this hole behind the passenger side headlight that allows an intake to pass thru. Us non-vtec guys (DX, CX, LX)dont get the hole so it must be cut out. Rick
