EK ram air headlight assy?? Where to get one
I remember seeing them for sale around pretty regularly. Anyone know where I can buy a ram air headlight replacement for an EK? thanks.

I am interested in this as well. Someone was selling them, but I think it might of been a last batch kind of thing. They had them for 92-95 as well as 96-98 & 99-00. Anyone remember? Are they still available? Anyone else make one? Thanks.

You heard wrong. Especially on the dyno, "ram air" devices don't do much of anything because the intake fans used cannot come anywhere close to simulating the air speeds at which a ram air assembly would actually be producing more power than a standard intake. You may notice a gain over a CAI when you're going 95+ mph, but before that you're just wasting money and losing a headlamp.
As for buying them: go to Home Depot and get a 2.5" diameter section of PVC piping and plop it through the front wall of your oem airbox. Route it straight to where the headlamp used to be and you've got instant "ram air".

I disagree with you on that one. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that a straight pressurized shot to your throttle body is better than one that curves and picks up air from behind the bumper. I agree with you on the dyno results of it but thats about it.

So, are you going to explain to me how a headlight to throttle-body tube is a straight shot? It may not curve as severely as a CAI, but it still curves enough to effect intake velocity. There's also the fact that air behind your bumper, or anywhere else for that matter, is moving at the same rate as air outside your car. The atmosphere is a fluid mixture: your car moves through it and your intake sucks in the air.
I promise you that it's a waste of money.

ice-man makes one for the EG. it looks like a black plastic headlight that's empty and has a hole in the back.

Yay! $100.00 for a $0.10 piece of ducting and a brand name. It's not really my place to call you an idiot for purchasing something like that, but unless you're a hardcore road racer with everything else, this is going to do absolutely jack **** for your civic. Add the fact that you can make the same thing for $5.00 with stuff from Home Depot, and you're royally retarded.
Whatever floats your boat though.

So much for not making any power. The blue one is with the Iceman headlight mod intake. The red one is with an aftermarket intake.
Plus if these things stuck so badly why do most pro all motor guys run them? Even guys running ITB's are running a fresh air source through the headlight.
[sarcasm]They probably don't know anything. I'm sure you standard AEM CAI would prove better results.[/sarcasm] Not to mention the air coming through my headlight is going to be just as cool as the air coming trough my front lower right fog light opening. Oh well. I want one.
