Default I have searched the search, and need a diy for install on power steering.

If i didnt drive my car ALL THE TIME for work and play, it would be ok! But i need to put my power steering back in and dont want to give my local shop 150 bucks to buy the parts and do it! I need to know what tools are needed and how to install just the pump and the belt and how to bleed it? thanx guys! its a 96 Vtec Prelude

its like 2 12 mm bolts to take the pump out, real cake walk, just look under the hood and you can figure it out.

As for bleeding it, no such thing, what you have to do it fill it up, start the car and turn the wheel lock to lock to get the air out, keep doing it till it is all gone

so you can access the power steering pump from opening the hood! It isnt under the car? Thanks! Hows about gettin the belt on, do i have to take the pulley off, or does it slip on with some effort or what?

you can get if off easily from under the hood, as for the belt, one of the bolts is in a slotted hole, so when you loosen it you can slide the pump down and free up the belt, no need to take the pulley off

its not the length thats a problem just the mounts but i hear that the 967 prelude and mount would work cuz the hose fits perfect and that if i use the accord pump the bracket is to high and it would touch the hood everytime i closed it
