I see 2 hours 40 minutes of Test & Tune on Friday. I'll probably need it all. Better bring more gas cans.

Hmm. What's the max number of cars on track? Is there even a hard limit, or just a "recommended" limit? I wonder at what point NASA would turn away entrants or try to add another group?

Just wondering, not whining or complaining

yes, at least with the SCCA, you can by waiver and a 115% qualifying constraint (from the pole) based on my only experience w/ an oversubscribed track. Don't know if you'll get there at VIR-N - it should be like 56 cars.

Mike,
Just a correction. As noted on the schedule, the times are slightly different for Saturday and Sunday qualifying and practice, so the above information that indicates the same times on Sat and Sun is incorrect. Everyone please refer to the published schedule that indicates the correct times. The schedule that Mike has a link to is correct, just the above quote is incorrect.

Ban Him!

Phatty is correct 25 cars/mile is the SCCA standard. I presume NASA is similar.

And SCCA frequently allows a few more than that. I think they justify that on the basis that a few cars that show up will never make it to the race. I have raced with 52 cars qualified at Summit Point - I do not recall if any were DNS.

The Supercenter in Culpeper is supposed to be the biggest one in VA.

We have a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Culpeper. You can your tires done, get a bank loan, eat at McDonalds, buy gorceries, and pick up your new lawnmower.

The town north of Culpeper has a regular Wal-Mart that doesn't have an Auto shop
a McDonalds, a bank or a grocery store in it.
So it is not "SUPERRR"

racing in Culpeper would be like running Daytona, a superspeedway
racing in the other town would be like Bristol, a short track

Looking over this schedule, I see that there are exactly zero minutes for slack. So I shall remind you all:

- Don't fuggin oil down the track! (check yer drain plugs and oil filters)
- Check those hoodpins!
- If you decide hit something, please do it in a place which will not leave you in an unsafe place!
- Check all of your safety equipment! I want to see drivers WALKING away from those inevitable incidents! Are you cutting any corners? FIX THEM NOW.

Seriously, if any honda drivers fugg up our track time, I'm gonna, well, I'll feel really bad for you, unless I find out that it was due to negligence. Then I won't feel so bad

Really looking forward to racing with y'all.
